25 years of in-depth political experience.

During 19 years as an MP I served as Parliamentary Select Committee Chairman for nine years, held the position of Government Whip and Minister for three years, and spent nearly two years as a Cabinet Minister working closely with then-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. 

I also spent 7 years as a Member of the Council of Europe, and prior to being elected as an MP I was a member of the Senedd – the Welsh Parliament. 

These experiences have provided me with an in-depth understanding of the UK's political landscape, the mindset of parliamentarians in different roles, and the intricacies of decision-making at the highest levels of government.
