Master the British Political System with Expert Training

Is your company organisation or public affairs team looking to navigate the complexities of the British political system with confidence and engage effectively with policy makers?

I offer bespoke one-day training sessions for organizations and individuals seeking a comprehensive understanding of the UK political process.

What Does a Typical Training Session Include?

My sessions are built around four key presentations:

1.The Key Players in Parliament – A deep dive into the roles of Backbench MPs, Peers, Ministers at various levels, Whips, PPSs (including the differences between the two types), Cabinet Ministers, and Private Office staff. We’ll explore their responsibilities, motivations, and interactions.

2. Influencing Policy as a Backbencher or Peer – Learn how backbench       MPs and Peers raise issues using Westminster Hall debates, Adjournment debates, Oral and Written Questions, Early Day Motions (EDMs), APPGs, Private Members' Bills, and more, including the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.

3. Select Committees – Understand the structure, influence, and workings of Select Committees, plus how to effectively contribute evidence to inquiries.

4. The Legislative Process – Gain insight into how legislation progresses through Parliament, the stages it passes through, and when it can be debated or amended.

I also offer additional presentations tailored to your organization’s needs.

Tailored to your organisation's needs.

Every training session is fully customizable to address your specific goals and challenges.
